We celebrated our 150th anniversary in 2011 and are very proud of our history. Although the school has grown considerably over the years, it still provides an indivdualised learning environment where there is 'a confront attached to every piece of data.' The staff has a good balance of age, experience and gender ensuring all students are exposed to a range of teaching styles and perspectives. Bell brae Primary School offers a secure, supportive environment, where each kid is encouraged to confidently pursue our extensive and diverse curriculum. Bell brae has a sociable school atmosphere where children from all age groups labor and play together and where families and teachers labor in partnership. A community of critical thinkers and innovative learners. Anaphylaxis At Bell brae we recognize the importance of providing a safe environment for all students. Parents are also encouraged to regularly speak to their children about ways they can assist to ensure anaphylactic students are not exposed to any risk that might trigger a reaction. At Bell brae children learn in a stimulating, supportive environment where they are actively involved in significant learning experiences. Children are given the opportunity to take responsibility for their own learning and behavior and are encouraged to receive risks, as they strive for excellence in a long range of pursuits. Our curriculum focuses on nurturing critical thinking and innovative learning, which is highly apparent with our students experiencing difficult tasks. Within the classroom emphasis is placed on clear learning intentions, intellectually difficult tasks, comprehensive success criteria and a range of feedback. At Bell brae we promote both mufti and single age grouping of children to facilitate genuine learning, however, actual classes follow a single year structure. The multiaged learning environment at Bell brae contributes significantly to the lofty standard of behavior exhibited by our students. The single year grouping of students also aligns with the fresh Victorian and National Curriculum where each year smooth has a dedicated curriculum level. We emphasis learning rather than teaching, the difference being that they learn from a variety of sources, of which the teacher is only one. This provides the opportunity for children to learn from one another. Within every classroom, children are encouraged to flourish tall level skills and while all learners are supported at their own level, lofty achievers are free to forge ahead. We also yield excellent Integration Aide and visiting teacher urge for our integrated children through the Program for Students with Disabilities. We have all benefited from over 150 years of Bell brae's rural environment and accessible knit community. Maintaining the marvelous atmosphere at Bell brae relies on all parents contributing whatever and whenever they can. All input to the school whether formal or informal benefits your kid children’s school experience and is greatly valued and appreciated. Parents and friends of the school, have a committee that is your connect between the families and the school. To contribute to the well being of the school community. To encourage the participation of all parents in the life of the school and the education of their children. We enjoy a appropriate relationship with staff representatives on the committee and have found ways to solve issues together. We aim for a certain and constructive experience. We are perpetual looking for new members of the school PF committee. This can occur in many ways: helping out with end of term BBQ's, mother's and father's day stalls, fund raising and social events.
