Go Ride A Wave was established in Angle sea in 1987. We established Over the Edge, a division of Go Ride A Wave, which specifically caters for the corporate and conference market, in 1992. We established Go Paddling as a kayaking division in 1994. Go Ride A Wave is a Major local employer on the Victorian Surf Coast, with more than 70 employees. We also bear surf lessons for more than 50,00 customers each year. Go Ride A Wave’s company highlights include being the surf school industry leaders in Australia for almost 30 years. We consulted to numerous outdoor adventure companies around Australia and as a result helped them improve their standards and operational processes. We invested in the development of the beginning easy G Boards, manufactured in Australia, specifically for use in Surf Schools. Go Ride A Wave is now a leading surf school member of Surfing Australia. What an awesome group we had today! It was so lovely and tame and glassy and sunny only 1 day after the remnants of Cyclone Debbie passed over. Be part of the Go Ride A Wave Team We are seeking staff now. Go Ride a Wave offers a number of casual instructor positions throughout the year. We conduct a wide range of activities that are predominantly watered based, for a different range of client groups. The majority of our client bottom is drawn from schools however we have many community groups, physically and emotionally challenged groups and an expanding corporate market. The range of activities we donate are: Surfing, ocean kayaking, body boarding, stand up paddle boarding (SUP), surf life saving programs, initiative courses (team building) and life guarding. You will be helping clients overcome basic fears and discomfort by providing a safe, mirth and sure environment. You will be expected to develop or demonstrate mighty leadership qualities and divulge empathy for your students and fellow instructors. You need to be able to labor in a team environment and demonstrate passion for your work and lifestyle. As a casual instructor your role is to observe, assist and pass on as much assist and knowledge focusing on your students’ needs. All new instructors will start as assistants but Go Ride a Wave strongly encourages staff to undertake the necessary in house and accredited courses to become senior instructors in a multitude of activities. We only consider applicants that have consistent availability. Weekends and public holidays are an essential requirement.
